hello all and welcome to my personal site B^)

I'm Danilo Pešević, a multidisciplinary researcher based in Montréal. My work intersects electronics, music, and philosophy.

I'm currently a master's student at the Input Devices and Music Interaction Laboratory (IDMIL) at McGill University. My thesis explores how force-feedback qualitatively impacts the experience of using digital musical instruments. Before coming to McGill, I earned my Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Alberta, with a minor in philosophy. I've also worked as a hardware designer at various startups in Montréal and Calgary, where I got to hone my skills in circuit design, PCB layout, and embedded firmware development.

My research spans from analog electronics to postphenomenology, though I tend to spend more time on the technical side of things. Beyond designing and testing circuits, I'm interested in exploring how insights from media studies and philosophy of technology can inform the analysis and direction of engineering practice.

In my free time, I volunteer at CKUT, where I've hosted workshops on soldering and building DIY instruments. Sometimes I even host radio shows (of which, this one on South Slavic folk music was my favorite).

I made this site as an archive for my research, projects, and writings. Also, check out my music on SoundCloud, or some videos I've made on YouTube.
